Denis Gente is a sound artist based in Brittany.
He explores the sonic traces of biodiversity — bat ultrasounds, insect vibrations, aquatic soundscapes — which he transforms into immersive installations and interactive experiences.
His work combines field recordings with sensitive electronic devices to reveal the poetic dimension of often imperceptible sounds of the living world.
He also leads educational and collective residencies (Fabriques Sonores), guiding pupils, students, and audiences in creating shared sound libraries, and sometimes introducing them to electronic tools (Arduino, Raspberry Pi).
His projects, enriched by transdisciplinary collaborations, seek to open new spaces of listening and imagination.
